Aspley Heath Wood is one of my favourtie places to walk. It’s what I call a real wood. To me it’s magical and perfect. You’re surrounded by tall trees, wooden dens and not much else.
There are so many routes you can take and don’t have to venture far to have an adventure with your little one. Daisy and her pals love finding sticks, puddles, wooden dens and climbing through the overgrowth.
There’s no cafe, no toilets and no facilities but its still an amazing place to visit. Parking is free.
You’ll want to wear wellies or walking boots depending on the time of year as it can get very muddy and wet although perfect to have fun in if you’re a puddle loving child!
Great place to take the dog for a walk too. I’ve never taken a buggy before but I wouldn’t imagine it’s stroller friendly but my icandy peach which isn’t an offload pushchair could manage it.
The wood is located within Woburn Sands, Woburn and Aspley Guise however the postcode and parking location I’m going to suggest is in Woburn Sands.
MK17 8TS drive to the top of this hill on Church Road and you’ll see a car park within the wood.
