wow!
We had the best time at Brancaster beach in Norfolk. It's a gorgeous huge sandy beach and the part I loved the most was that by lunchtime in mid June, the tide was so far out it was like one big huge safe sea puddle!
Both of my girls 1 and 4 loved it and we could quite literally walk for miles once the tide was out. We, didn't of course but it was great fun and we found lots of crab shells and seaweed and other little creatures.
There were toilets and a café/shop which sold sandwiches, breakfast rolls, snacks and ice cream as well as beach 'stuff' like buckets, spade, kites and more. I got my eldest a kite for £5 and we had a blast. Toilets are open 6am-6pm but check here for more info and unfortunately I'm unsure on the café opening times.
It cost me roughly £30 in fuel from Newport Pagnell and took 2 hours 15 minutes with little to no traffic on a Saturday at 7am! I was buzzing with that!
Ok so a question I had was how did I drive all that way alone with two kids but truth be told by 8:30 I felt like screaming and they both had vegetable crisps haha!!! Who cares what you need to do to get by hey!
Parking was by the beach and was £4 for 2 hours or £8 for the whole day.
Anyway, I'll share some photos now and you can decide for yourselves. Oh and I have another day beach trip which I'll link here.
