2022 June - This park has just had a huge refurbishment making it more inclusive and toddler friendly. We will update when we go and check it out.
What a day!! Daisy & I had the best adventure today. We visited Parsons Park Recreation Ground in Leighton Buzzard. The people who live there are so lucky.
Firstly the place is stunning, a huge beautiful green space with stunning trees. I have a thing for trees!
Water coming from all angles. Some of my photos looked pretty bare but the water fountains came on in intervals so you never knew if you were going to get wet or not.
Our friend came armed with a bucket and spade, Daisy had a lunch box left from the picnic! They loved it both in equal measures. Daisy enjoyed covering our feet with sand.
But the kids weren’t tired yet so it was time for our final stop. The park. Of course Daisy was in her absolute element. I didn’t manage to get the best photos as there was lots of children having fun.
It’s a 25 min drive from Milton Keynes, Bedford and 40 minutes from Northampton. Use postcode LU7 1SD this will take you to the carpark where the Splash Park & Beach are signposted from there.
Sand is open 7 days a week from 10:30 am – 4:30 pm
Water is open from end of April for the summer. 7 days a week 10:00 am-5:30 pm
Notes – A few people on social media told me they had read reports of children getting spliters in their feet from the sand. I would like to say that the 5 of us who had no shoes or socks on were all ok during our time in the sand. If you are worried, please keep your socks on. Report an issues to the local council – here.
