Rushmere Country Park

Updated: May 27, 2022

We spent over 3 hours here today, it was fantastic. Daisy and I love a forest, this forest is extra special though, not only is it beautiful but they have fairy doors hidden within the branches of windy trees.

It’s magical watching your child’s imagination come into action. Daisy enjoyed knocking at the Fairy’s houses and sitting on the Giants chair.

We went on a great walk around the forest, stopping to climb on fallen branches then stopped at the park. We discovered a huge slide which the children enjoyed, it was only after I realised the slide was for over 5s but I tested it first and it was slow and I felt safe enough for Daisy, so maybe be cautious if you’re child is a bit young.

Next was the little toddler sand park which was a hit, it’s enclosed and has a small slide.

Pop into the visitor and have a cuppa on the viewing platform. The view over the trees is outstanding and they have binoculars you can use. I wish I had got a photo.

Use postcode LU7 0EB. £3 parking for the entire day.
