Salcey Forest

This is a lovely forest and I’ve enjoyed many a walk here.

Theres a park for older children, my daughter is 3 but I’m guessing its more suited for age 5 and above? They have some large wooden play houses hidden within the woods which are amazing for imaginary play. It gets very wet and muddy but it’s a perfect spot for children to play. There’s also a large conker tree around the corner from these huts.

There are three walks but I usually choose the Elephant walk. Once you reach the forest there’s lots of space to make dens too. I am pretty sure one of the routes is wheelchair friendly as well.

There's toilets, picnic benches and a cafe. The cafe is great although a little pricey but they sell some of the best homemade cakes.

Parking is £4 for 2 hours or £6 all day. You cab pay via cash or card. You can find out more information on their website here.
